Every month the Tesouro Direto website is viewed by more than 1.7 million people interested in learning more about government bonds. These people generally do research on the website and in order to invest they use a brokerage house or a bank.

From now on, B3 will make the Tesouro Direto registration process even simpler. Investors will be able to fill out a simplified registration form on the Tesouro Direto website, choose a custodian of their choice and buy government bonds using the PagTesouro payment tool.

The goal of the project as a whole is to offer a new gateway for individual investors to register on Tesouro Direto and help custodians to attract new investors to their base.

PagTesouro

Investors may pay for government bonds using the National Treasury of Brazil payment tool, the PagTesouro. Upon making the payment, it will be sent directly to the investor’s single account with the Federal Government and the investment will be guaranteed.

Safety authentication

For the registration process, B3 will use the gov.br authentication platform of the Brazilian government to identify the investor and validate their identity, providing safety to the registration process.

How Integration with Custodians Will Work

<p>Participation of institutions in the simplified Tesouro Direto registration system is optional and members may sign up at any time. To participate, the custodian will need to create two APIs in a format defined by the B3 and the National Treasury Secretariat (STN) team and carry out the integration into the Tesouro Direto system. Tesouro Direto is a National Treasury of Brazil system operated in partnership with B3. When using this system, individual investors can buy fixed or floating government bonds on the website www.tesourodireto.com.br in an easy and simple way, thus facilitating access to this type of asset.
