Registration Simplification of Cash Settled CDCA Trades

Cash settled CDCA deposit-to-market trades can now be carried out on B3’s platform.

From now on, banks can carry out deposit-to-market trades of cash settled Agribusiness Credit Rights Certificate (CDCA) via NoMe platform.

This is yet another step in B3’s Registration Simplification project, which is aimed at making the rules for cash settlement of credit assets in its environments more flexible to provide even more options for its clients.

This demand was generated from the entry of new players in the CDCA market, creating further needs and trading structures to make the capital markets even more attractive for Brazilian agribusiness.

Simplified CDCA Deposit-to-Market Trade Registration

The cash-settled deposit-to-market trading mode already exists on the NoMe platform and is being enabled for CDCA, allowing B3’s clients to trade using different structures.

The Agribusiness Credit Rights Certificate (CDCA) is a freely traded nominative credit instrument that represents the promise of cash payment used for financing cooperatives and agribusiness companies. CDCA is linked to credit rights originating from trades between rural producers and third parties. The registering institution is responsible for the CDCA registration at B3 and also manages the credit rights linked to the CDCA on B3’s platform.

The NoMe platform provides infrastructure to the OTC market and comprises registration, deposit, trading, and settlement activities, among others.
