The improvement will increase speed and reliability in the change process.

This project will enable the electronification of the NDF Currencies (non-CCP) contract change flow when it involves a client counterparty, allowing the entire process to be done via system.

Currently, changes to these contracts involve sending a physical letter and the operation can only be done by B3 users. This delivery will allow changes to be carried out by the requesting clients directly through a system’s function. Clients will await approval from B3 so that the changes can actually be implemented.

Improvement to operating flow

A functionality will be available for users to change the contract and await confirmation from B3 via system. Sending a physical letter signed by authorized persons will no longer be necessary.

Autonomy

The change is requested by Participants, who will monitor the flow until the operation is confirmed through the system.

Reliability

Increase in the speed and reliability of the change process leading to a reduction in operational errors and in B3’s intervention.

This functionality may be used to change contracts up to T-4 from the contract’s expiration date. The values in the former and new fields will also be available for queries in the system.

The change, when confirmed, will appear in the existing DMOVIMENTO and DMOVTRANSF files, besides the updated contract in the DPOSICAO file.

There will be no modification to the change governance process. All changed fields will continue to undergo analysis by the B3 Monitoring team before the new contract parameters are accepted.
