Capture of New Information Sources of Currency Parity for Non-CCP NDF Currencies

The capture of information will be expanded and automated to make other currency quotations available for Non-CCP NDF Currency contracts.

For NDF Currency contracts using currency parities disclosed in information sources other than Sisbacen, banks and fund custodians currently use the Feeder and Sisbacen/Feeder registration type, which require manual input of quotations so that the system can calculate the derivative’s settlement price.

With this improvement, B3 will expand the capture to parities from other markets so that the product can be calculated by B3, thus reducing the operational impact on its clients. For this, adjustments to Non-CCP NDF Currency screens and files will be necessary.

NDF Currencies is a OTC market product. It is usually used by institutions for FX hedging purposes thus bringing financial predictability to those who contract the product.

The Central Bank of Brazil Information System (Sisbacen) is a set of systems and resources used to centrally collect, register and store data on financial and banking transactions carried out in Brazil. At B3, Sisbacen is the information source for FX quotations.

When clients search for other information sources, B3 provides registration with the "Feeder" and "Sisbacen/Feeder" sources, which, in practice, are forms of registration that require manual input of FX contract quotations since until now the system did not capture this information.
