B3 creates a new channel for remote voting of listed companies through the Investor Area

B3 will create a channel to facilitate investor participation in company meetings in the listed segment. Starting January 2, 2025, shareholders will have the opportunity to send their votes directly to B3.

Through B3 Investor Area, they will be able to vote in meetings registered by companies with the Central Corporate Intelligence System (CICORP).

This project was enabled following the publication in June 2024 of CVM Resolution 204, which expanded the rules for investor participation in remote voting, allowing them to send their votes without the need for intermediation by a custody agent.

This is yet another alternative offered to the market by B3. The goal is to increase investor participation, especially minority shareholders, in company meetings and decision-making.

The other channels for participation in meetings currently available to shareholders will not be changed.

B3 Investor Area will now receive votes directly from shareholders of companies that register their meetings with CICORP.

Companies register their meetings with the Central Corporate Intelligence System (CICORP), a channel used by listed companies to include distance voting bulletins on B3. CICORP has automatic integration with B3 Investor Area, which will be enabled to receive votes from shareholders.
Shareholders can now send their votes directly to B3 in an autonomous manner, without the need for a custody agent to act as an intermediary. All they have to do is to log into the Investor Area and vote in the meetings that are enabled for them.
For the issuer, the votes received through the Investor Area can be viewed on the map generated by B3 together with the votes received via the custody agent.
