New product offering helps boost the funds market in Brazil

This initiative consists of the possibility of listing Fixed Income Multimarket Investment Funds (FIM-RF), Infrastructure Multimarket Investment Funds (FIM-Infra) and Equities Multimarket Investment Funds (FIM-RV).

These funds provide for the possibility of dividend distribution, trading on the PUMA platform and T+2 settlement via netting.

To be admitted to trading, such funds must be constituted in the form of a closed-end condominium.

To meet the project and specific tax characteristics for each fund, changes will be made to the Message and File Catalog related to the BVBG.028.02 – Instrument Registration file.

If there is dividend distribution, provision in the rules (see Annex to this Circular Letter) about sharing cost data and date of acquisition of fund shares to the underwriter must be made so that the latter can provide inputs to the administrator responsible for taxing such funds to determine and collect the Income Tax that may be levied on dividends earned by shareholders from amortization, dividend distribution or redemption of shares.

The tickers for these funds will consist of four (4) letters and two (2) numbers and follow the same model as other listed funds.
