Event Contracts allow investors to trade market scenarios in a regulated, simple and transparent manner.

Event Contracts will work similarly to COPOM Options. Learn about their main characteristics:

• Underlying asset (product ticker): Mini Ibovespa Futures (BWI) and Bovespa Index (BBV), Mini U.S. Dollar Futures (BWD) and Spot U.S. Dollar (BDO), Spot Bitcoin (BBC) and Bitcoin Futures (BBI), Spot Ethereum (BER) and Ethereum Futures (BEH), Spot Solana (BSL) and Solana Futures (BSO), besides Monthly IPCA (PCA) and GDP (PIB) economic indicators

• Contract style: European.

• Call options: exercised if the reference price is greater than or equal to the strike price.

• Put options: exercised if the reference price is lower than the strike price.

• Settlement: cash settled with a fixed payout of BRL100.

• Reference price: variable according to the contract.

• Contract size: 100 points, each point being BRL1. All exercised Event Contracts have the same fixed financial payout of BRL100 (regardless of the in-the-money percentage), similar to COPOM Options.

• Expiration date: every day of the month, except for GDP (quarterly) and GDP (monthly).

• Last trading day: the business day prior to the contract's expiration date.

• Fixing date: the last trading day.

• Tick size: 0.01 points.

• New ticker: AAABBCCDEEFGGGGGG, where:

o AAA - 3 characters according to the underlying asset commodity

o BB - expiration time (initially, all contracts will start with 00)

o CC - day of the last trading day

o D - contract month according to the futures options table

o EE - contract year

o F - C for Call and P for Put

o GGGGGG: contract strike price

• If it is the strike price trading code, it will have "E" at the end.

• Trading change: Market Data (FIX and Binary)

o Security list: inclusion of a new tag to indicate binary/vanilla option: 1482-OptPayoutType

• 1 - Vanilla (Default)

• 3 - Digital/Binary

• Change to the format of the 200-MaturityMonthYear tag with the inclusion of the day: YYYYMMDD

• Inclusion of a new domain in the 762-SecuritySubType tag valid for Derivatives

• Cryptocurrencies: 160 - Crypto Asset

• Change to the FAST/Binary/Dictionary Fix template:

o New domains in the securityCategory tag (BVBG.028, msg BVMF.100)

          • 107 - BINARY OPTION

          • 108 - BINARY EXERCISE

In the United States, Event Contracts are regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and traded on exchanges managed by the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) and the CME Group. Platforms like Kalshi, registered as a Designated Contract Market (DCM), reinforce the global trend of making regulated instruments available, with limited risk and guaranteed settlement.
