New US Fixed Income ETF BDRs

Banco B3 and PIMCO launch 6 new ETF BDRs in the Brazilian Market

On Monday June 27, six new US Fixed Income ETF BDRs were made available by Banco B3 in partnership with PIMCO. These are the first PIMCO Fixed Income ETF BDRs to become available on B3, Brazil’s exchange.

In a first phase, access to these products is exclusive to qualified investors (individual or corporate investors with investments in excess of BRL1 million).

The new BDRs are linked to ETFs that follow corporate and US government debt securities and with different maturities. These new products expand the possibility of strategies with different offshore risk and interest rate exposures.

There are several advantages to investing in these ETFs. As well as accessing interest rates from other countries, trading occurs on the PUMA platform with settlement in Brazilian Reals on T+2 from the trade date. In addition to trading ease, the new products can be considered for revenue distribution and usually have lower rates than traditional fixed income funds.
