Improvements to BVBG.186 File

The BVBG.186 file is a new B3 product with price data from the Listed segment, just like the BVBG.086 file, but its main fields are now completed based on alternative data sources.

The first version of the file was published in October 2021. It is now divided into two markets – equities and futures markets –, it now contains the Average Price field and is published on Secure Client.

The BVBG.186 file will also contain Listed segment price data.

Given the importance of the BVBG.086 file for trade execution routines by market participants, any delay in its publication is highly impactful. Therefore, the BVBG.186 is an alternative file that offers greater safety to brokerage houses, banks, custodians, administrators and fund managers in the event of any problems to generate the original file.

Furthermore, the BVBG.186 file may be an additional option to be used every day by those who prefer a simplified version of the Listed segment price data file generated from other sources.

How it works

The BVBG.186 file is generated from sources other than those that feed the BVBG.086 file. Thus, technological incidents will hardly occur simultaneously to the extent of impacting both files.

The BVBG.186 project represents an evolution in the layout of the BVBG.186.01 SimplifiedPriceReport file by including the average price and availability on Secure Client.
