The offer of weekly expirations for Ibovespa Options is part of a series of measures to make the product more attractive to investors. With this measure, B3 creates opportunities for strategies with short expirations leading to a more efficient risk management.

Another initiative that comes along with weekly expirations is the 100-fold reduction in the size of the Ibovespa options contract. The average price of a traded contract will fall to BRL50, thus enabling the participation of more investors and the increase in the product’s liquidity.
