In seeking greater accuracy and predictability for the market, B3 has developed a new solution that ensures the synchronization of opening, regular, and closing auctions for U.S. Dollar Futures, Ibovespa Futures and S&P 500 Futures contracts, including their mini versions (DOL, WDO, IND, WIN, ISP and WSP).

Currently, these contracts are synchronized only during opening auctions. From now on, synchronization will also be ensured during scenarios where contracts reach protection tunnels or when these tunnels are triggered during the trading session.

With the new tool, these contracts gain even more relevance as it will reduce price discrepancies.

Synchronization will apply to all auctions of futures contracts throughout the day, including regular and closing auctions, ensuring that full and mini contracts go to auction in a coordinated manner, even when protection tunnels are active.

Currently, synchronization of auctions between full and mini contracts is only guaranteed at the opening auction and may not occur in certain scenarios, such as when contracts enter protection tunnels or when these tunnels are triggered during the trading session.

In the full solution, synchronization will be ensured even when protection tunnels are used. The solution will also be extended to regular and closing auctions of futures contracts.
