The posting of equities as collateral is a major step to ensure the reliability of the stock market. Currently, when the same institution acts as a brokerage house and a custodian, the posting of equities needs to be registered in two different systems, which can make the process slower and more bureaucratic.

B3 is implementing an improvement that will streamline and speed up equity collateral transactions, which will now be executed using a single command, valid for both transactions. Therefore, brokerage and custody services will be carried out by the same institution. This improvement reduces the number of necessary steps, rendering the task faster and more efficient.
