New Tesouro Direto Bond – Tesouro Educação
New bond will guarantee an extra monthly income stream to pay for studies
The National Treasury Secretariat will launch a new Tesouro Direto bond – Tesouro Educação.
The new product is aimed at people of all ages who plan to use a supplementary income to pay for their studies, whether higher education courses, specialization courses or any other course.
At first, there will be 16 bonds with the first conversion in 2026 and every subsequent year.

Tesouro Educação is a cost competitive product easy to use and with multiple conversion dates
• Accumulation Period: Investors may buy Tesouro Educação bonds of any vertex (maturity year) available for sale. With the choice of a bond by maturity date (e.g. TD EducA+ 2040), the investor will purchase quantities, accumulating funds in this bond to receive monthly streams as of January 15, 2040.
• Conversion Period: Is the period after the conversion date (date chosen to receive the extra income). The investor will receive recurring monthly income for 5 years as of January 15 of the year chosen.
Bonds carried to maturity do not have a custody fee. Custody fee exemption is for up to four Brazilian minimum wages. If it exceeds that amount, a fee of 0.10% per annum will be charged on the excess.
In case the investor withdraws the investment before its maturity date, the collection of the Custody Fee will be regressive according to the values below:
• Redemption from 0 to 7 years - 0.50% pa
• Redemption from 7 to 14 years - 0.20% pa
• Over 14 years - 0.10% pa
• Expiration date - 0.00%
