Intraday monitoring gives participants greater control and agility

IMBARQ files provide, via iMERCADO, data on asset position and settlement in the B3 environment. Now, we are launching a new feature for investment managers: the IMBARQ019 file, with an intraday view of securities lending information to facilitate monitoring of transactions and positions.

The improvement meets a market demand, which seeks greater efficiency in the daily management of transactions.

The IMBARQ019 file will have the same layout as the IMBARQ006 file and will include registration 6, 14 and 15, with deliveries scheduled for 10 am, 2 pm and 6 pm. This will allow for fast decision-making regarding early settlements, renewals and new contracts.

The new IMBARQ file offers greater speed to securities lending monitoring.

Securities lending is a service provided by B3 whereby, in exchange for an agreed remuneration rate, the holder of certain assets (lender) authorizes their transfer to a third party (borrower). The borrower is free to sell these assets or use them for other purposes, but is obliged to return them in accordance with what was previously agreed between the parties. B3 centralizes, register and guarantees the entire transaction, offering security, transparency and standardization for both legs of the transaction.
