Start of day position included in the LINE Clearing system
The LINE Clearing system will be integrated into B3’s post-trade platform. It will now include the risk of investors' start of day positions in the calculation of aggregate metrics, reflecting position increases and decreases and day trades risk over opening positions.
The initiative will improve the exactness of investors’ start of day position, bringing greater accuracy to risk calculation. Everything that is traded will be included in the up-to-date history of the investor's position. Currently, only day trades are considered.

The Project’s Implementation Will Enable More Accurate Risk Calculation
LINE Clearing will now include start of day positions
LINE is a tool integrated into the PUMA trading platform. It is used by market participants trading in the B3 environment to define pre-trade limits and monitor the activities of investors, i.e., people and companies that trade on B3 buying and selling assets through their brokerage houses. Furthermore, all investors who send orders or have their orders sent to the trading system are LINE users, as they have their limits validated before sending the order to the matching engine.
Tool tip> B3 includes start of day positions in the LINE Clearing system, bringing greater accuracy to post-trade risk calculation.
