B3 will provide market participants with Lien and Encumbrance registration service on federal government bonds bought from Tesouro Direto which are subject to bilateral guarantees constituted within B3’s system.
The service will be operationalized through B3’s Security Interest System (SOG), which offers lien constitution, amendment and execution functionalities.
Liens and encumbrances may be constituted with the following guarantee types:
- Fiduciary transfer
- Pledge
- Usufruct

Fiduciary transfer, pledge and usufruct guarantees may be constituted.
B3 will insert enter government bonds in the Security Interest System (SOG), which provides functionalities to constitute, amend, terminate and execute guarantees.
The following guarantees will be accepted:
- Fiduciary transfer: When an asset is given as guarantee for a loan and remains in the possession of the creditor until the debt is paid.
- Pledge: When a movable asset is offered as guarantee in a contract.
- Usufruct: The right to enjoy an asset owned by others.
