Scope of Mock Trading Session on 05/25/2024 - PUMA Trading System
To assist participants in planning changes and implementations, a mock trading session of the PUMA Trading System will be held on 05/25/2024, with market participation.
In this session, the following system and infrastructure changes will be validated:
• First wave of the Matching Engine update:
Implementation of the first tranche of the new version of the Matching Engine, which contains improvements, one of them being the Transaction Time, which is currently measured in milliseconds and will be measured in nanoseconds. Specifically for the Matching Engine below:
MarketSegmentID |
68 (DRV01) and 70 (DRV02) 80 (EQT01) and 98 (EQT09) |
Waves 2 and 3 will be held on 3rd and 06/10/2024, respectively.
• LiNe Trading and LiNe Clearing Update:
New LiNe Trading and LiNe Clearing version implementation that will bring improvements in the time for generating the Position History, among others, without impact on the participants.
• Market Data Update (UMDF FIX/FAST and UMDF Conflated):
The new version of Market Data solves the problem of handling transaction corrections, following the Operational Procedures Manual. Instead of only reporting the time when the correction was made, B3 reports the exact moment when the original transaction occurred. Specifically for the Matching Engine below:
MarketSegmentID |
68 (DRV01) and 70 (DRV02) 80 (EQT01) and 98 (EQT09) |
Waves 2 and 3 will be held on 3rd and 06/10/2024, respectively.
• FIX and Binary Gateway – Entrypoint and Drop Copy Gateway Update:
Preparation for the migration of FIX Gateways that will receive Execution Reports in binary and convert them to the FIX protocol.
Currently, the FIX trading gateways receive messages in the FIX format. However, with the update we will make to the Mock Trading Session, all FIX gateways will receive messages in Binary format. They will then convert these messages to the FIX protocol and send them to clients, ensuring that there is no impact beyond what is stated in the CID document available on the B3 website or changes to the FIX protocol.
During Mock Trading Session, a paving will be done, and subsequently, the update will follow the planning disclosed at https://clientes.b3.com.br, Posts, News, Highlighted News, B3 Tech Launches | Trading.
