New Study to Enable the Expansion of Strategies with Options on Ibovespa
It is currently possible to trade Options on Ibovespa up to one day before expiration.
Upon delivery of the study, and once the feasibility of the improvement is verified, the project will bring better dynamics to the options market.

The study aims to evaluate the possibility of creating procedures to allow trading Options on Ibovespa on expiration day (the Wednesday closest to the 15th of the contract month), similar to what happens with Equity Options on expiration (on the 3rd Friday of the month).
The study aims to deliver to the market the first version of the procedures to be included in the project in the future.
In the study, B3 will include all the procedures to be carried out and all the hour windows planned for Options on Ibovespa.
Ideally, the study will be carried out in the Operations, Trading, Post-Trade and Equities clearinghouses.

Expansion of trading possibilities
The study will be carried out in the Options Work Group, and ideally in the Operations, Trading, Post-Trade, and Equities clearinghouses.
Once the procedures and times necessary for trading to occur, the feasibility of position allocation and updating portfolios before exercising options are verified, the study can be transformed into an actual project.
The study will be completed by late April. Once completed, it will be become a project and updated on the B3 Clients website.
