B3 improves tool for the secondary market
Restrictions on Trading Private Credit in the Secondary Market (CVM Resolution No. 160 Rules)
B3 has an enhanced tool in place to help institutions that act as intermediaries in the secondary market for publicly offered securities and that must, pursuant to CVM Resolution No. 160, observe when each issuance can be traded by different investor profiles (professional, qualified and retail investors). In this process, an important piece of information is the public offering closing date, which limits the number of coverage scenarios of the tool and is not always provided. To solve this difficulty, B3 implemented an improvement that allows investors to automatically capture, on the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) website, the public offering closing date in a single series of debentures, CRIs, CRAs, commercial notes and closed-end fund shares, rendering the whole process more efficient and comprehensive.
